If you know me well, I’m not one to pick up a book and read unless it has a Rockport Publishing logo on the spine and is loaded with the latest business card designs or print layouts. But with a book recommendation from a good friend of mine, I went to Barnes and Noble last week and picked up “Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea.” It’s written by NY Times Best Seller, Chelsea Handler.
She’s a comedian/actress that writes in first person retelling funny events throughout her life so far that manages to have me giggling out loud before falling asleep. I once read (or heard on Oprah) that you should take an hour to unwind before going to bed after a long day at work or you’re going to find yourself later in life very stressed and unhappy. So I’ve done just that. So far, I’d recommend the book to anyone looking to laugh. If reading is not for you, then stick to Guitar Hero. I can never get enough of that.
P.S. I’d also point you to read some books by Jen Lancaster who comes highly recommended by an adoring fan. :)
